Preparation Steps

  • Rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water until clean.
  • In a large skillet, warm 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
  • Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon each of garlic powder, cumin, and smoked paprika; stir for about 30 seconds.
  • Add the rinsed chickpeas and stir to coat them with spices. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste; continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle parsley on top.
