Preparation

  • Start by finely chopping your onion, mincing the garlic, and grating the carrot. Gather all your ingredients.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté for about 5 minutes until they become translucent.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and grated carrot, continuing to sauté for approximately 3 minutes.
  • Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef, breaking it apart while cooking for about 6-8 minutes.
  • Pour in the tomato sauce and add your dried herbs. Stir everything together and let it simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream to the Bolognese sauce and allow it to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  • In a separate pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi when the water is bubbling, cooking until they float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Gently toss the cooked gnocchi in the skillet with the Bolognese sauce. Serve immediately, topping each plate with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of parsley.
