  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese sharp preferred

  • 1 cup Pasta Sauce optional

  • Preheat your oven to a cozy 350°F (175°C).
  • Boil the egg noodles according to the package directions until al dente. Drain well and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with diced onions for about 5-7 minutes, until the onions are soft and translucent.
  • Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, and half of the cheddar cheese. Let this mixture simmer for an extra minute.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the sour cream and optional pasta sauce until smooth. Fold in the beef mixture and cooked noodles.
  • Pour the combined mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
