Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour use unbleached for flavor
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar fine for even distribution
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar light or dark based on preference
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt just a pinch
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter softened
  • 2 Large Eggs fresh if possible
  • 1/2 cup Milk whole or substitute with almond/oat milk

For the Chocolate Filling

  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips swap for dark or white if desired

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with cooking spray or parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the large eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition, then mix in the milk until smooth.
  • Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until thick and slightly sticky without over-mixing.
  • Carefully fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Drop dollops of dough onto the prepared sheet, allowing space for puffing. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Drizzle with melted chocolate for extra sweetness! Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days at room temperature or freeze for up to 3 months.
