Instructions

How to Make Quick & Tasty Shrimp and Spinach Orzo Skillet

  • Begin by cooking the orzo in a pot of salted boiling water. Follow package instructions, typically simmering for about 8-10 minutes until al dente.
  • While the orzo is cooking, heat some olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for approximately 1 minute until it becomes fragrant.
  • Gently add the shrimp to the skillet with garlic. Cook them for about 3-4 minutes until they turn pink, being careful not to overcook.
  • Stir in the fresh spinach along with a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook until the spinach is wilted, roughly 2 minutes.
  • Drain the orzo and add it directly into the skillet with the shrimp and spinach. Pour in the vegetable broth and lemon juice, mixing everything well.
  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the combination and stir until it’s melted and mixed throughout.
  • Serve the dish warm, with optional extra lemon wedges on the side for that refreshing zest!
